Your knowledge of Rotary and all it stands for can come only through participation, observation and experience. Here are some thoughts to follow to enhance your Rotary experience:
1. Get to know every member of your club.
2. Ask questions about members’ classifications.
3. Explain any unusual aspects about your vocation.
4. Participate in all fellowship functions.
5. Come early to the weekly meetings to visit with other members.
6. Visit other Rotary clubs whenever you get the chance.
7. Be willing to participate. The answer is always, “YES”!
Our Rotary District #5580 is one of the largest districts in the world, covering all of North Dakota, Northern Minnesota and the southern tip of Ontario, Canada. The District Conference is held each year in the spring, usually in late April or early May. Members and spouses are encouraged to attend.
The International Rotary Convention assembles in one of the great cities of the world each year. You may find yourself attending one in Tai Pai, Berlin, San Antonio, Sydney or other interesting cities such as these. An International Convention is a great place to learn more about Rotary.
