How We Serve

Because of our commitment to service, there are several opportunities for you to help the local and world communities.

Twice a year, we participate in the Roadside Beautification project along 45th Street in Fargo from I94 to 32nd Avenue South and 32nd Avenue South from 45th Street to 42nd Street..  We collect all of the "treasures" left behind in the ditch and dispose of them. Ultimately, we finsih the project at a local establishment with refreshing beverages and pizza.

On the last Saturday in September, we put on our running shoes and help with the Roger Maris 61 for 61 Run/Walk.  Whether it is registering partipants or guiding them along the course, we do our part to make this community event run smoothly.

We ring in the Holiday season by collecting money for the Salvation Army.  For two Saturdays, we work at a bell-ringing station.  The day is broken out into two hour shifts.  It is another way Rotary betters the lives of those in our local and global communities that are less fortunate.

During the school year, Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo Rotary clubs participate in Project Literacy with Carl Ben Eilson School in Fargo.  For an hour each Friday, Rotarians help immigrant students with home work and other schools projects in an effort to better their reading and comprehension skills.  Those who have participated have enjoyed it.

The Four Way Test
of all the things we think, say or do

  1. Is it the Truth
  2. Is it Fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build Good Will and Better Friendships?
  4. Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?
