Fargo West Rotary • A Brief History
Important Dates
-
July 29th, 1983: The Rotary District Governor made a decision to give the Fargo Rotary Club authority to start organizational work to form a new Rotary Club in Fargo, ND.
-
November 22, 1983: The Fargo Rotary Club signed the application along with payment of $200 (application fee) paid to Rotary International. The president of Fargo Rotary signed the application.

April 20, 1984: Organized with 21 charter members who met the constitutional requirements for membership in a Rotary Club.

May 30th,1984: Fargo West Rotary received its charter. A list of Past Presidents is attached.

1987: Betty Opheim, first female member was admitted for membership, sponsored by John Stern.

1998: Matt Biewer goes to Mexico, Michi Marianos arrives from Argentina

2004: Laura Ramirez comes from Columbia and Marshall Monda goes to Venezuela
